Role Summary The EMA VACUUM Business Development Manager is a newly created position to lead the penetration of new markets, applications, and customers. It is a "Hunter" role which will play a vital role in driving Flowserve\'s Medium-High & Rough Vacuum success within a broad geographical EMA region. Reporting into the Global Vacuum Business Development Leader, this role suits a highly energetic sales-driver with a strong understanding of Industrial Vacuum solutions and related applications. This role will be responsible for strategic market entry, key-account development, line-expansion strategies, and collaboration on product development and acquisition opportunities. The successful candidate will lead regional sales development to position Flowserve as a leading Vacuum Brand. Work-location is flexible; the Manager can work from any EMA Flowserve facility. Your Role Key Responsibilities: Strategic Market, Analysis, Targeting, and Entry Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities within the region. Collaborate with peers to align with target markets, applications, and customers that best fit Flowserve\'s strategic objectives. Lead a direct targeting approach to win customers and develop them into mature accounts. Strategy Development and Deployment Develop and implement regional market entry and growth strategies. Identify new business opportunities while maintaining existing key accounts within the region and target market segments. Work with cross-functional teams to drive regional Vacuum growth and leverage opportunities for liquid-pump portfolio expansion where relevant. Collaborate with Leadership to deliver market feedback and guidance on Sales, Operations, Commercial, and Product-Line success. Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional accounts. Liaise with Flowserve functions to achieve high-level customer satisfaction for the top 20% of key accounts driving 80% of business. Develop, monitor, and manage tailored Tactical Account Plans for each key account. Manage account performance; adjust actions to meet objectives. Product and Service Portfolio Collaboration Collaborate with Product Management and New Product Development to align the portfolio with regional market needs. Provide market surveillance and guidance on Acquisition and White Label Opportunities. Participate in product launch planning and execution. Collaboration with Marketing Partner with marketing to develop regional value propositions for campaigns. Provide market insights and customer feedback to support marketing initiatives. Identify key exhibitions, conferences, trade bodies, and institutes to establish presence. Sales Support Provide guidance on materials needed for target markets, applications, and products. Develop and implement effective regional sales strategies for strategic target arenas. Engage with regional customers and support meetings and product trials to strengthen Flowserve\'s position. Monitor direct Sales and Distribution performance to identify Vacuum opportunities and areas for improvement. Develop Challenger Sales assessments, stories, and strategies for target accounts. Reporting and Analysis Prepare regular reports on penetration progress, market trends, bookings, key account performance, and strategic goals. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement. Your Profile Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or related field; MBA would be advantageous but not essential. 5 years of experience in Industrial Medium-High Vacuum in industries such as Thin Film Coating, Semi-Conductors, Battery Manufacture & Recycling, Space-simulation, pharmaceutical API processing. Willingness to travel up to 40% regionally and occasionally globally. Proven record of successful market penetration and strategy execution. Key Competencies Strong sales-Hunter mindset with ability to find opportunities, coordinate teams, and penetrate target customers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer care, relationship building, and cross-functional teamwork.
