Cayuse Federal Services (CFS) provides innovative and flexible solutions to federal government clients, emphasizing cost-effective excellence. CFS's capabilities include Environmental Services Investigation and Remediation, Munitions Response / Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Operations Support Services for Bases, Ranges, Airfields, and Logistics / Warehouse Management.
Primary Focus
The Transportation Specialist (TS) serves as a liaison, providing safe and compassionate care for unaccompanied children (UC) and/or family units (FAMU) during travel, which may include domestic or international flights and ground transportation across the U.S. The TS must be bilingual in Spanish for effective communication and adhere to all specified processes and procedures, aligning with Cayuse's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the safety and security of UC and FAMU during transit from departure to arrival.
* Maintain and secure personal property and medications of assigned UC/FAMU, documenting and tracking all items.
* Act as a resource, providing information and encouraging questions to facilitate understanding.
* Maintain and update transportation documentation accurately and securely.
* Comply with U.S. laws and regulations, ensuring children are properly secured with appropriate car seats or booster seats, and all passengers wear seatbelts.
* Maintain visual and auditory supervision of all persons during transit.
* Escalate emergent situations promptly and document incidents thoroughly.
* Maintain current training and certifications per state and ICE/ERO standards.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited university, or a high school diploma with at least one year of relevant experience.
* Bilingual in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking).
* At least two years of documented experience in law enforcement, social work, detention, corrections, or related fields; three years if only a high school diploma.
* Experience aligned with program goals, with effective communication skills suitable for a similar environment.
* Up-to-date vaccinations as per CDC recommendations.
* Ability to pass background checks, with additional checks as required.
Minimum Skills
* Excellent communication skills; effective interaction at all organizational levels.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; adaptable to new software.
Reporting and Working Conditions
* Reports to: Program Manager
* May require domestic and international travel.
* Conditions vary based on location and transportation mode.
* Must be able to communicate verbally and monitor activities continuously.
* Physically and mentally capable of performing duties, including standing for long periods.
* Proficient in using computers and office tools efficiently.
