Whatwapp is a leading mobile game company in Italy with three major titles, focusing on casual games. The company, comprising around fifty diverse team members, operates in English and supports hybrid work options. Whatwapp is transitioning from a startup to a scale-up, aiming to expand globally and innovate within the gaming industry. We encourage a flat hierarchy, allowing rapid idea execution and learning opportunities directly from our leaders, with a commitment to the personal and professional growth of our employees.
We are looking for a Product Manager to own one of our live titles end-to-end: someone who leads from the front, connects every product decision to business outcomes, and brings the hunger to keep pushing even when the game is already successful.
Your quest will be to:
- Own the vision of your title and define where you want to take it
- Build and maintain the product roadmap, balancing long-term vision with management goals and quarterly priorities
- Execute full development cycles: from specification through to delivery
- Be on top of the game's daily live performance and act on what you find
- Define and run A/B tests to validate assumptions and drive improvements
- Work closely with the data team to understand player behaviour, economy, and monetisation
- Manage cross-functional delivery across customer support, data, monetisation, development, design, and QA
- Oversee live ops cycles and keep the game healthy and growing
- Lead, motivate, and develop your team: building alignment around the product vision, getting people excited about what they're building, and helping them grow
- Communicate clearly with management on roadmap direction and product performance
To start playing, you will need:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills: you're comfortable in the data, not just summarising it
- Agile project management skills and experience managing roadmaps end-to-end
- People leadership experience: you've managed or led a cross-functional team and know how to create accountability and motivation, not just harmony
- Great communication skills across all levels: from explaining feature mechanics to the team, to presenting roadmap direction and results to stakeholders
- A strategic mindset: you connect product decisions to revenue and business outcomes. You're not just executing against a list; you understand why each decision matters
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets
- Fluent English
- Nice to have: 3+ years of product management experience in F2P mobile games - specifically running a live title, not just launching one. We want someone who has owned a game post-launch: balancing the economy, iterating on live ops, and driving KPIs on an established player base
The type of player we are looking for:
- Hungry for a win: intrinsically motivated by results, not just completion
- A careful and detailed planner who can also move fast
- Data-oriented: you form hypotheses and validate them, you don't just report numbers
- A leader who owns outcomes, not just tasks
- Someone who understands full ownership: you see what needs to be done and make it happen, inside and outside your formal remit
- Critical thinker who challenges assumptions with evidence
- Understands player motivations and can connect them to product and economy decisions
Our company values:
- Use critical thinking: don't assume, validate your gut feeling!
- Take ownership and make it happen!
- Love what you do and have fun doing it!
- Work on the problem, not just the symptoms!
- Don't overcomplicate it, keep it simple and effective!
- Share ideas to reduce bias and improve results!
