The position is in charge of supporting the team within the implementation of the Human Rights related activities (with a predominant focus on human rights due diligence and social impacts assessment initiatives). He/she supports on assuring social topics are promoted as part the MSC Cargo Division’s business agenda and progressively integrated across all areas of the business. In particular, he/she will be involved in identifying and accounting for the diverse range of the social impacts of the MSC Cargo Division, also by contributing to the implementation of relevant projects both at HQs and local level. He/she will support activities related to the research and the evaluation of evolving international standards and best practices in the social sphere, stay informed regarding emerging sustainability issues and best practices as well as social and economic value creation at local level; assist with development of policy recommendations and procedures within the social dimension. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Support the Social Impact Senior Manager and the Team with: • the development of research/analyses on the possible impacts regarding social impact topics (e.g. Human Rights, ESG Supply Chain, Just Transition); • benchmarks and monitoring activities on evolving trends and sectorial best practices; • support the activities on the assessment of actual/potential social impact on business activities; • join workshops and events on sustainability to gather intelligence and disseminate internally through summaries and reports, • research activities on international best practices, sustainability standards and requirements and contributes to advance on social topics in the value chain. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: This internship will allow you to sharpen you skills and knowledge on: • the ability to develop and move forward projects in a structured environment on Corporate Social Responsibility, especially in the Social sphere of the ESG domain; • the ability to coordinate different workstreams and how to prioritise your tasks in a multinational environment; • the ability to analyse key upcoming legislations and sectorial trends; • the ability to present information to Senior level corporate experts from different areas. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION • University degree (Social Sciences and equivalent), advanced degree valued. • A master/post lauream course in Sustainability will be appreciated, in particular with a focus on SI&HR SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE • Passion towards social impact issues (in particular on supply chain) and human rights. • Good intercommunication skills, open-minded approach • Fluent knowledge of English. Speaking another language will be considered a plus
