Responsibilities
* Perform various food preparations, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations and quality dishes for patrons.
* Complete all tasks on the prep list from the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
* Prepare food items daily in their assigned outlet and other kitchen areas.
* Ensure dishes are clean and sanitized, operate dishwashing equipment, and maintain supplies.
* Assist kitchen staff in producing menu items to ensure high performance, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
Estimated Monthly Budget
* Projected monthly income: $2,400 (Hourly wage: $15)
* Housing costs: $600/month
* Meals provided during working hours
J1 Visa Program
This traineeship is part of a J1 visa program designed for young professionals or recent graduates to advance their careers, gain work experience, and enjoy cultural exchange.
The total application cost for the J1 Visa program is $1,870, including:
* Final payment upon visa approval: $1,450 (includes $650 mandatory health insurance)
Disclaimer: The first month of housing must be paid in advance by the candidate. Airfare is not covered and varies depending on the departure city.
* Number of positions: 10
* Hourly wage: $14 ($2,400/month)
Eligibility
To qualify for a J1 Visa, you must:
* Be between 18 and 35 years old.
* Have graduated from an accredited institution with a degree related to the job and at least 12 months of professional experience, OR
* Be a young professional with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
* Have intermediate English proficiency.
