Prospero Group is seeking an experienced Operations & Business Development Manager to join our team in Guernsey. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an exciting opportunity to build and grow the delivery of hard facilities management services, ensuring high standards of compliance, safety, quality and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will lead and develop service coordinators and skilled trades teams, oversee HVAC, plumbing and electrical maintenance services, manage operational planning and budgets, maintain strong client relationships, and drive continuous improvement across service delivery. The role also includes ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, monitoring performance, managing suppliers and contractors, and providing technical support where required.
Applicants will ideally have proven experience in an operational management role within the facilities management or building services sector, with strong leadership, organisational and communication skills. A solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and general building maintenance is essential, alongside experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a client-facing environment. Relevant engineering, facilities management or technical qualifications are preferred, with professional certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent considered advantageous.
