Location: Italy, Germany, Finland You are accountable and in charge for the attractiveness and profitable growth and marketing of the ABB Subtransmission Grid components to targeted market segments, partners and customers by developing and managing it through all of its life cycle phases, according to market, partner and customer needs and global product group strategy. You will work in an intercultural team of global product managers for Grid Components. Reporting to the Global Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Business Line Grid Components strategy. The role will report to the Global Portfolio Manager Grid Components ELDS Your responsibilities Understand current and future market requirements and customer benefits for Subtransmission Grid Components Lead the market intelligence analysis. Understand and define the current market segmentation and related product positioning. Identify potential gaps in the portfolio (vs. competition, for new market opportunities and trends) Own the technical and market specification for the product line and determine a product line strategy that supports the highest customer-benefits/-satisfaction and sustainable growth. Lead the life cycle management process, analyze current products, define, and track performance metrics, and plan appropriate measures to ensure attractive products/solution offerings Act as partner and interface between external market and internal functions, e.g. Sales, Operations, and Research & Development. Initiate and drive cross-functional and cross-organization product and solution innovation Define new product plans and business models. Contribute to the development of new products/solutions by leading customer needs and value analysis, planning, and contributing to a product roadmap creating maximum value Prioritize new product development projects with commitment for the achievement of targets and coordinate and motivate the cross-functional teams accordingly Initiate and support product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation. Manage different channel-to-market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing & Sales to ensure the best market coverage Define product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensures clear communication to channels and users, to deliver clear product benefits and positioning Your background Master Engineering Degree in Electrical with minimum of 3 years of experience in the sub-transmission electrification business Good fluency in English is required Experience in or knowledge of global electrical networks (standards, products, applications, utilities) is a plus Analytical capabilities with futuristic thinking and good acumen "how to make it happen" Customers, quality, application driven attitude Collaborative, purposeful approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills More about us We look forward to receiving your application (documents submitted in English are appreciated).
