Redstone Commodity Search is working with an International Trading House looking to hire a Physical Metals Trader to join in Johannesburg, SA.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
* Source and sell metal physical commodities.
* Build and nurture customer and supplier relationships whilst also negotiating logistics and financing with suppliers.
* Attend client meetings and industry events (20% travel).
* Develop commercial proposals considering competition and market dynamics and make informed decisions based on this.
* Oversee operations, including logistics, LC, import / export.
* Reports to Commercial Trading Director.
Key Qualifications / Experience
* Minimum 3 years physical trading experience; 8 years preferred : Experience in base metals or concentrates.
* Comfortable with risk and change, decisive in decision-making and preferably with a transferable book of business.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Understanding of the fundamentals of metals trading.
* To be located in Johannesburg, SA.
