- Role Summary **Expand Market Reach for Membrane Technologies - Drive Regional Growth in Italy** As Sales Manager (M/F/d) for Italy within our Membrane Solutions business unit, you will be responsible for managing and expanding sales across the Italian market. You will identify business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and position MANN+HUMMEL as a leading provider of membrane-based water treatment solutions. Working closely with regional sales teams, product management, and technical experts, you will help drive sustainable growth in one of our most promising and future-oriented segments.
- Your Tasks
- Develop new business and strengthen existing customer relationships in Italy
- Contribute to country-specific sales strategies and support local marketing initiatives
- Manage product certifications, technical documentation, and approval processes with clients and consultants
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to define pricing and positioning approaches
- Oversee day-to-day sales operations including quotations, order tracking, invoicing and customer service
- Conduct product trainings, workshops, and represent MANN+HUMMEL at trade fairs and industry events
- Collaborate with Product Management and Technical Teams on pilot projects and solution development
- Act as the central contact for the Italien market while coordinating closely with European colleagues
- Your Profile
- Education: Technical degree in Environmental or Process Engineering, Business Administration, or al related field
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, preferably in the water treatment or membrane filtration sector
- Expertise: - Proven track record of sales success in technical solution selling
- Skilled in using CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
- Experience with competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and project-based business
- Confident in delivering technical presentations and interacting with senior decision-makers
- Languages: Business-fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written); other European languages are a plus
- Personality: - Customer-centric and consultative approach to sales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across cultures and functions
- High level of self-motivation, resilience, and adaptability
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability
- Willingness to travel as needed (approx. 30%-50%)- We offer
