JOB PURPOSE:Purpose of this role is to ensure that customers' needs are met while maximizing the company's profitability.The Marketing Manager will develop and lead the marketing strategy for the Ruminants category in Italy, ensuring customer needs are met while maximizing the company's profitability and market share. The Marketing Manager defines brand positioning, communication channels, and campaigns; plans and manages the budget; monitors market trends and economic and financial factors in the sector; analyzes competitors' products and services; and identifies opportunities to improve existing products and services and accelerate demand (sell-out).CORE RESPONSIBILITIESBrand & Strategy Leadership

Champion the brand internally, ensuring all functions understand the brand, its positioning, and objectives.Develop and execute an effective multichannel brand strategy aligned with the Business Unit Director (BUD) and commercial priorities.Identify new marketing opportunities consistent with the brand strategy to maximize growth.

Customer, Market & Competitive Insight

Monitor and analyze market trends and customer needs within the ruminants sector.Assess competitors' products and services to identify differentiation opportunities and improvement areas.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build and sustain strong working relationships with key stakeholders (veterinarians, KOLs, farmers, associations, etc.).Partner closely with Sales and merchandising/promoters teams to drive demand generation and sell-out.Work cross-functionally to ensure the brand's commercial goals are achieved.

Demand Planning, Forecasting & Supply Alignment

Produce realistic sales and volume forecasts, ensuring organizational readiness and alignment.In collaboration with the Distribution Director, conduct regular forecasting and phasing reviews.Support alignment across sourcing, manufacturing, and the supply chain to ensure availability and execution in line with brand plans.

Marketing Execution & Content Development

Develop high-quality, effective marketing materials fully aligned with the overall brand strategy.Present brand strategy, plans, and performance updates to directors and Sales/Marketing teams at internal meetings and conferences.

Agency & Budget Management

Manage external agencies and suppliers, ensuring quality delivery, timelines, and budget adherence.Plan and control marketing budgets in line with agreed priorities and ROI expectations.

Digital & Social Media Governance

Ensure correct management of Zoetis Business Unit social media channels, whether managed directly or through third-party suppliers.Ensure social media channels under responsibility are routinely monitored so that any adverse events related to Zoetis marketed products are promptly reported.

Compliance & Pharmacovigilance

Report any potential pharmacovigilance issues identified during post-marketing activities and/or clinical trials.Regularly review key scientific journals/magazines and report any potential pharmacovigilance issues described.

Organizational Relationships

Reports to: Business Unit Director (BUD) LivestockKey interfaces: BUDs and ABMs, NTMs, Supply Planning Managers, Market Logistics, Commercial Operations, Distribution Director, Communication Manager, Regulatory Affairs, GCD, SEC RU team

EDUCATION

Essential: Veterinary/technical degree;Desirable: specialization in Marketing and/or Business Administration.Essential: English proficiency

EXPERIENCE

Relevant previous experience in marketing, ideally brand manager in a similar industry (pharma/veterinary)Proven budget managementCommunication and Influencing skills track record
