With Quality as their primary focus, this group strives to provide access and affordability through innovation and strong collaboration with their RD and Commercial partners to deliver life-changing solutions for patients in need. /p pJJ Innovative Medicine supply chain (JJIMSC) is recruiting for a Senior Packaging Engineer to be part of the Strategic Operation Packaging department, within the Manufacturing Science and Technologies organization. /p pThe Senior Packaging Engineer will be responsible for providing temperature control qualification, distribution studies, shipping route verification, and other packaging-related SME support to JJ Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (JJIMSC). /p pIn this position, she / he will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, qualify, leverage, and commercialize passive solutions (including cold, frozen, and cryogenic shipping solutions) for both new products and lifecycle management, while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and JJSC guidelines. /p pIn addition, she / he will provide secondary and tertiary packaging engineering support for new product launches, technical transfers, and lifecycle management-related activities / projects for all JJIM internal and external packaging sites, as applicable. /p h3General Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead / drive the following Transportation Study related activities for the supply chain : Physical / Simulated Distribution Testing and Temperature Control (Cold Chain) Qualification activities, as required. /li liProvide support to product protection (physical and / or simulated) and cold chain distribution testing, packaging line trials, packaging equipment / material qualifications, child resistant requirements, human factor studies and patient centric design. /li liSupport Shipping Route verification (SRV) related activities, as required. /li liProvide day-to-day Secondary and Distribution (Tertiary) Packaging material support to the supply chain. /li liProvide lifecycle packaging equipment, process technology transfer and new product launch technical support as required by JJIMSC and PES sites in alignment with current and in-process standards, including Commissioning and Qualification (CQ) for PES sites and Process Performance Validation (PPV / PPQ) across all JJIMSC / MTO platforms (SM, LM and AT platforms). /li liProvide site technical support (internal and external) with packaging related quality and compliance investigations including equipment assessment, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis processes. /li liWork with our packaging sites to identify and deliver cost improvement or cost avoidance projects that result in lower unit cost. In addition, support the internal and external sites with packaging equipment and processes efficiency improvement initiatives / activities, as required. /li liAs required, design and develop secondary and distribution (tertiary) packages for optimal equipment performance and process compatibility, considering patient / end user preferences and limitations. /li liManage and connect directly to establish new product introduction and technical transfer collaboration and support partnerships within JJIMSC teams (VCL, TLI, SCDL, GSDO, Deliver, TDS, PES, EQ, MSAT, among others) as required, and with packaging sites internal to JJIMSC, as well as Distribution Centers and External Packaging contractors managed by JJIMSC, to provide support on different packaging needs related to packaging technology transfers and new product launch projects. /li liWithin the context of secondary / tertiary packaging for new product launches and technical transfers, drive the development and implementation of leading-edge technology for all packaging locations managed by JJIMSC (internal and external). /li liOptimize design, program, processes, and technical platform to meet current and future needs, have knowledge of packaging materials, equipment, and package design / testing. /li liPlan / verifies and controls project and / or program costs and schedules, as needed. /li liProvide support to product protection (physical and / or simulated) and cold chain distribution testing, packaging line trials, packaging equipment / material qualifications, child resistant requirements, human factor studies and patient centric design. /li liSupport sustainability / environmentally friendly packaging initiatives as required. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or Equivalent Technical / Engineering discipline is required. /li liA minimum of six (6) years of related experience in cold chain, packaging, labeling, and manufacturing processes is required. /li liKnowledge in the design, development, testing, qualification, and commercialization of Passive Shipping Solutions is required. /li liExperience with secondary tertiary packaging materials designs is required. /li liKnowledge of packaging distribution / transportation testing (for cold chain non- cold chain products) is required. /li liValidation / qualification of packaging equipment, material processes is preferred. /li liExperience in the areas of pharma, chemical, biologics, medical devices, or other regulated products areas is preferred. /li liKnowledge of cGMP is required. /li liThe ability to be effective in a global environment with the ability to manage and lead technical issues with Cross Functional global partners is required. /li liAbility to lead and influence others in a complex matrix organization is preferred. /li liAbility to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the company, across the supply chain, deliver and with the commercial franchises as appropriate is preferred. /li liProject Management (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, Process Excellence, FPX, and Kepner Tregoe Certifications are preferred. /li /ul h3Location : /h3 pLatina (IT), Schaffhausen (SW), Titusville (US) or worldwide.
