We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our internationally renowned 5-star hospitality brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional wine experience, curating a world-class wine program, and elevating guest satisfaction through personalized and memorable service.
The ideal Sommelier combines refined professionalism with a warm, engaging approach, possesses extensive knowledge of wines and food pairings, and acts as a true brand ambassador in every guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Curate, develop, and continuously update the wine list in collaboration with F&B; Management
Manage wine inventory, stock control, and supervise purchasing in line with budgetary and brand standards
Provide expert, personalized wine recommendations and food pairings to enhance the guest experienceEnsure optimal organization, condition, and presentation of the wine cellar
Engage with guests, sharing wine knowledge and storytelling to elevate the dining journey
Train and mentor service staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and brand service standards
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and company policies
Requirements
Recognized Sommelier certification or a degree in Hospitality Management
Proven experience as a Sommelier in 5-star hotels, luxury resorts, or fine-dining restaurants
Extensive knowledge of international wines and key wine-producing regions
Strong familiarity with local vineyards and premium producers
Solid understanding of the winemaking process
Good communication and presentation skills in English
Good communication skills in Italian
A refined service mindset, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
