Product Manager Network Control – Power Applications (f/m/d)

As Product Manager for Power Applications (EMS / ADMS / DERMS), you will own the vision, strategy, and evolution of the advanced power and network analysis applications that power our Network Control (NC) portfolio. This is a highly visible, global role where technical depth meets strategic influence, and where your ideas can directly transform how power systems are analysed and optimised in real time.
You’ll work across a sophisticated ecosystem of products including EMS, ADMS, DERMS and more ensuring that our power applications are aligned, scalable, and future‑ready. A key focus of this role is identifying game‑changing opportunities to apply AI in power system analysis, redefining what’s possible for grid operations worldwide.
How you’ll make an impact
Define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and long‑term strategy for power applications within the NC portfolio.
Lead the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, release, and post‑launch support.
Shape and evolve advanced applications such as State Estimation, Power Flow (balanced & unbalanced), Security Analysis, Transient Stability, Dynamic Assessment, and Optimal Power Flow.
Collaborate with global R&D;, Sales, Pre‑sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to prioritize features and ensure successful delivery.
Identify and champion AI‑driven innovations that revolutionise real‑time power system analysis and optimisation.
Monitor market trends and competitors to uncover differentiation and growth opportunities.
Define and track KPIs to measure product performance and customer value.
Support pricing strategies in partnership with Finance and assist Sales with technical expertise during pre‑ and post‑sales engagements.
Engage directly with customers and partners, representing Hitachi Energy at industry conferences and events.
Your background
Strong experience in product management, preferably within power systems, utilities, or complex software portfolios.
Deep understanding of power system analysis applications such as power flow, stability analysis, security analysis, and optimisation.
Proven ability to work cross‑functionally in a global, matrixed environment.
Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution skills across the full product lifecycle.
Passion for innovation, with a strong interest in AI and advanced analytics applied to energy systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including customer‑facing experience.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product strategies and business value.
