We are looking for an Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join a leading company in pump solutions. This is a key role for an ambitious, customer-focused salesperson who wants to make a real impact.
You'll lead sales strategy, expand distribution networks, and identify business opportunities with distributors, OEMs, contractors, industries, and end users. Your technical understanding and commercial acumen will help deliver solutions that truly meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue growth. - Identify new business opportunities and market segments. - Conduct market analysis on customer needs, competitors, and pricing trends. - Promote new product lines and provide customized pump solutions.
2. Channel / Dealer Management
- Appoint, train, and manage dealers, distributors, and sub-dealers. - Ensure efficient stock management and timely order fulfillment. - Support distributors with promotional activities and sales campaigns.
3. Customer Relationship & Technical Support
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and end users. - Provide pre- and post-sales technical support (product selection, installation, operation). - Address customer complaints and work with service teams for resolution.
4. Planning & Reporting
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and territory performance reports. - Track performance against objectives and analyze gaps. - Provide market feedback and insights on pricing and promotional actions.
5. Marketing & Promotion
- Organize product demos, roadshows, trade fairs, and exhibitions. - Work with the marketing team to boost brand visibility. - Support digital and on-ground marketing initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of centrifugal and submersible pumps. - Proven B2B sales experience. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. - Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering. - 5–10 years of experience in selling pumps, valves, or fluid-handling systems. - Experience managing dealer networks and technical product portfolios.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales targets (revenue, volume, market share). - Number of new dealers/customers added. - Customer satisfaction & retention. - Collection efficiency and adherence to credit policies. - Execution of marketing and promotional activities.

we need:
- Italian as a native language and an excellent command of English - Previous experience in international sales or export roles (ideally 2–5 years). - Good command of common software (CRM, ERP and digital communication tools).
