Overview

Senior Business Developer - Commercial, Amazon Shipping. This is a very exciting opportunity to join a new team in the Amazon Shipping business. We are looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial, analytical and customer-obsessed individual to join the Business Development team in Italy. You will join the team selling Amazon Shipping services and will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline of the largest companies in Italy, detecting opportunities, negotiating with external companies and closing sales, as well as collecting market segment and customer insights to improve the product and delight the Amazon customers.

Description This is a very exciting opportunity to join a new team in the Amazon Shipping business. We are looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial, analytical and customer-obsessed individual to join the Business Development team in Italy. You will join the team selling Amazon Shipping services and will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline of the largest companies in Italy, detect opportunities, negotiate with external companies and close sales, as well as collecting market segment and customer insights to improve the product and delight the Amazon customers.


Responsibilities

* Leadership: be part of the organization’s leadership team and help implementing the overall strategy and direction
* Customer relationship management: Building and maintaining strong top-level relationships with potential future strategic customers
* Cross-functional collaboration: work with operations, product, and tech leaders to manage the program and build a product that fits the needs of customers
* Dive deep: Measure performance, identify gaps and opportunities, and lead the team to address them
* Business development: Bring new customers to Amazon, develop the volume of shipping packages, ensure good conversion rate and do it with profitability in mind


Key qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree
* Experience in business development, sales and account management in B2B
* Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
* Strong ownership and deliver results
* Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively advise senior leadership
* Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in setting and achieving goals
* Professional in Italian and English


Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced or master's degree or MBA
* Experience in the logistics industry
* Expert use of MS Office Suite, CRM (e.g. Salesforce.com), sales and marketing automation tools, eLearning tools
