Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Mixology
Prepare and serve a wide range of classic and signature cocktails, wines, and other beverages with precision and creativity.
Ensure all drinks are made following company recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
Continuously develop and refine cocktail menus based on seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
Maintain a deep knowledge of spirits, liquors, and beverage trends to offer expert recommendations to guests.
Guest Engagement & Service Excellence
Provide a warm and engaging experience for guests, offering personalized drink suggestions and ensuring their satisfaction.
Interact with guests at the bar, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere.
Handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and customized drink orders with professionalism.
Ensure timely service, especially during peak hours, while maintaining quality and consistency.
Bar Operations & Inventory Management
Oversee the daily setup and breakdown of the bar, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to prevent shortages or waste.
Follow proper storage and rotation procedures to maintain the freshness and quality of ingredients.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
Compliance & Safety Standards
Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in bar operations.
Comply with alcohol serving laws and company policies, ensuring responsible service at all times.
Regularly clean and sanitize bar equipment, glassware, and workstations.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with the F&B team, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
Participate in team meetings, tastings, and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Support colleagues during busy service periods to maintain efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Core Competencies
Fluent in English & Italian is a must
1+ years of hospitality experience is a plus
Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
Flexible schedule - long hours and regular evening event coverage can be necessary
Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests
Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aethos Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
