Job Description: The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Rang. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B. What you’ll be doing Welcoming guests and attending to tables promptly Serving food and beverages, making recommendations as needed Sharing menu knowledge and assisting with questions and special requests Recording transactions accurately in the MICROS system Checking with guests on satisfaction and ensuring excellent service Cleaning tables, completing closing duties, restocking supplies Communicating with the kitchen regarding orders, menu questions, and special dietary needs Following cycle time guidelines and maintaining cleanliness Inspecting china, glassware, and silverware for cleanliness and presentation Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and brand guidelines What we’re looking for Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit (full-time role, 40 hours/week) Fluency in English and Italian Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality Positive outlook, outgoing personality, great communication skills Team-oriented mindset Experience in fine dining restaurants preferred Knowledge of Micros system is an advantage This role requires physical ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance in a clean uniform. Safety training and certification will be required prior to employment.
