About the opportunity
We are looking to hire a Senior Engineer specializing in Airfields to join our Airports and Aviation team in Madrid. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the design of airfields for large‑scale international airport projects.

Qualifications
* Degree in Aeronautical Engineering (Technical/Higher Aeronautical Engineering or Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering) or Civil Engineering with a high degree of specialization in Airports.
* More than 8 years of experience in planning and design of airside infrastructure (runways, taxiways, aprons, integration of infrastructure and associated systems).
* Autonomous and proven technical expertise in the preparation of airport planning studies and/or development of 2D/3D geometric design of airfields, sizing and design of airport pavements, design and integration of visual aids and associated systems.
* Experience in the design of heliports and/or vertiports.
* Familiarity with ICAO, EASA, FAA, and IATA regulations and their practical application in airport projects, preferably at an international level.
* Advanced English skills (C1 certified or in progress); professional experience using English valued.
* Clear international focus and interest in developing professionally in projects abroad, broadening technical perspective through experiences in different contexts and regulations.
* Strong technical leadership skills, capable of coordinating multidisciplinary teams and fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning.
* Innovative mindset, works independently and with technical rigor, and motivated to share knowledge to enhance team growth.
* Eager to contribute to the development of an international company like IDOM.
