The Electrical and Functional Assembly, Integration, and Test department is responsible for integrating and testing spacecraft on Avionic Test Benches and Flight Models, especially for scientific spacecraft.
This role involves full testing of electrical interfaces, validation of performance against requirements, and complete Functional Chain Validation, including Mission Sequence Tests.
We are looking for a Senior Functional Test Engineer.
About The Job
You will be responsible for validating the Functional Command and Control Chain on both ATB and Flight Models, working with customers and engineering teams to define, prepare, execute tests, and evaluate results.
You will contribute to system test definitions, participate in reviews, and ensure all customer functional requirements are met, including protocols compliance (ECSS, PUS, spacecraft-specific) and error handling.
Support troubleshooting and analysis of anomalies. The work site is Torino, with potential support during external test campaigns (up to two years). Working on a 24/7 shift schedule may be required.
About You
Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent), with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Fluent in English (C1 or above).
Skills and Knowledge: Deep knowledge of test instrumentation, electronic measurement, programming (C++, Python), and operating systems. Experience in designing C&C systems is a plus.
