Position
We are looking for a
Product Manager
for our
Tecnica Outdoor
brand.
The role will be responsible for developing the Tecnica Outdoor collection in line with the Business Unit's objectives, ensuring the right timing, costs, and market positioning.
The Product Manager will work closely with the R&D; department, as well as the Sales and Marketing teams, to lead the development process and provide the necessary tools to support both the sell-in and sell-out phases.
Key Responsibilities
Put Consumer First
: Exceptionally consumer focused; ability to gain and understand consumer needs and translate them into insight-based value propositions;
Product Line Development
Develops consumer product lines; understands the future development of consumer needs and market development and proposes product line priorities; balances authentic outdoor footwear consumer needs with fashion conscious consumer needs
Deliver Results
: Drives execution of agreed plans, monitors performance and takes corrective actions as needed.
Supports the top line revenue objectives and holds accountability for the realization of competitive retailer mark ups and product gross margin.
Grow business towards a sustainable size
: act as product leader with a focus on Europe across categories in the beginning, later ensure the global relevance of the product line with a focus on US and China
Inspire & Influence
: Bridge Builder who enables cross functional collaboration (example Sourcing, R&D;) breaks silos and co-creates meaning and purpose.
Ability to engage and energize the organization and to lead through influence;
Support innovation
: Experiments, collaborates across boundaries and scales and invests in new ideas; honors and supports the Tecnica Group heritage and DNA in product innovation in line with the parent brand Tecnica Ski Boots.
Requirements
The
ideal candidate
has the following characteristics:
Bachelor or Master degree in business relevant field.
Kept up to date with digital and sustainability topics/themes.
5 – 7 years Product Management experience in the outdoor footwear and athletic footwear industry.
Relevant commercial experience, either through account management or close collaboration with sales teams.
Digital technology: experience in the application of new digital technologies / AI.
Knows and understand the European marketplace with specific experience in the traditional bricks & mortar key account channel for sporting goods, additional experience within digital and lifestyle channel preferred.
International Experience with a touch of Italianism: a global citizen with multi-country experience, ideally across global regions who understands different cultures and consumer behaviours with some exposure to Italian working culture.
English and Italian (both fluent), preferably third European language.
MS office, SAP, Salesforce.
Understanding of product design priniciples.
Understanding of sourcing principles, esp Asia sourcing dynamics.
Effective communication and influencing in a multi-stakeholder, international matrix environment.
Strategic, fact-based mindset coupled with hands-on, sleeves-up mentality.
Outdoor enthusiasm with familiarity with the world where Tecnica Outdoor is operating.
