SMS group S.p.A., a company of the German group SMS, a worldwide leading company for plant and machinery manufacturing in the steelmaking and non-ferrous material industry, is looking for a Junior Commercial Project Manager (Contract Professional).
As a Commercial Project Manager, you form the Project Management team in our projects together with the Project Manager, manage the project from a commercial perspective and in this role you are the main contact and representative of the project internally and towards external partners on commercial and contractual issues.
This essentially includes:
- Monitoring the project from a contractual and commercial perspective;
- Implementation of end-to-end contract management, financial management, project cost controlling, risk and claims management;
- Management and coordination of contractually compliant communication with the customer and all contractual partners;
- Ensuring the proper processing and implementation of the commercial contract contents;
- Maintaining project overview & ensuring commercial project success;
- Carrying out monthly project reporting;
- Preparation and coordination of consortium contracts and commercial management of consortiums including payment release, change management, claims management.
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Economics and / or Engineering and / or completed vocational apprenticeship;
- At least 2 years intensive experience in Project execution and / or Site Management ;
- Good knowledge of commercial project management and international contract law
- Interest in commercial/contractual topics and affinity for numbers;
- High social skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary teams in dynamic mode;
- Negotiation skills;
- Business fluent in English; another foreign language is an advantage;
- Distinct communication skills, proved abilities to work in, and under time pressure;
- Good IT command (MS-Office), as well as experience in dealing with SAP;
- Analytical thinking skills as well as a structured and independent way of working;
- Willingness to travel worldwide.
