About the role


The Sales Engineer – Industrial Lubricants is responsible for developing and managing the sales of high-performance lubricants and related solutions in the Italian industrial market.
This position combines technical expertise with strong business acumen to provide customer-oriented solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and support sustainability goals.
The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge in industrial lubricants, tribology, or mechanical engineering and has expe-rience in industries such as manufacturing, steel, cement, energy, food processing, or chemicals.


Your Key Responsibilities


Sales & Business Development

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth targets in the Italian industrial lubricants market.

• Identify and acquire new customers, particularly industrial end-users, distributors, and OEMs.

• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through regular visits and continuous technical and com-mercial support.

• Conduct market analyses to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Technical & Application Support

• Provide technical advice to customers on the selection, application, and optimization of lubricants for industrial equipment (e.g., compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, bearings).

• Perform lubricant audits, oil condition analyses, and efficiency studies.

• Collaborate with the technical team to develop customized solutions and resolve lubricant-related issues.

• Deliver technical presentations and training sessions for customers and sales partners.
Customer & Project Management

• Prepare quotations, technical documentation, and tender documents according to company guidelines.

• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with customers.

• Monitor customer performance and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Coordinate with logistics, service, and operations teams to ensure smooth processes.


Your Qualifications



• Degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable technical field.

• At least 3–5 years of experience in industrial lubricant sales or technical customer support.

• Good knowledge of tribology, lubrication systems, and operation of industrial equipment.

• Proven track record in business development within an industrial environment.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Italian and English (written and spoken).

• Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.

• Willingness to travel within Italy (regular customer visits and participation in trade fairs).
