LANXESS Italy is currently seeking strong, motivated, and talented individuals with relevant sales and technical experience for the position of Senior Sales Manager Material Protection Products – Industrial Business line portfolio (MPP BU). Location: Italy, Via San Bovio 1 / 3 20090 Segrate, Milano, home based / external. Geographical scope: Italy (travel is expected within Europe) The product range is diverse, with a focus on paints & coatings and construction chemicals markets. Main Responsibilities: Within the BU MPP strategy, the Senior Sales Manager will develop customer strategies and business cases to ensure BU MPP sales growth in Biocides for the Industrial business line. Key responsibilities: Lead MPP IND sales in Italy and Greece. Develop and maintain existing customer relationships, ensuring high-quality technical and regulatory support. Identify new opportunities and potential customers (lead generation). Visit customers to assess needs and promote products and services. Support partners and distributors. Provide technical training and assistance, including hygiene audits and product use presentations. Create and update customer files to ensure data quality. Collaborate with technical marketing, R&D, regulatory, and sales teams. Negotiate prices, volume targets, and financial terms following company guidelines. Provide sales forecasts and contribute to annual budgeting. Monitor market trends, fluctuations, and competitor activities. Communicate market insights internally. Report using CRM and other tools. Oversee local MPP Industrial business activities and team. Knowledge and Experience: Master's Degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. At least 10 years of successful sales experience in the chemical industry or related sectors. Knowledge of the industrial biocides sector and experience with biocides is essential. Previous team management or coordination experience. Extensive travel within Italy and EMEA region. Native Italian speaker with excellent English skills. Strong communication and presentation skills.
