Our client is a leading Japanese Sogo-Shosha. The traditional role of a sogo shosha is to act as an intermediary in various types of trades. We select, set-up, structure and facilitate transactions by providing materials, inventory, financing, logistics and risk managementJob siteJob ProfileFor our chemical department, we are looking for a sales executive with excellent communication skills. Sales Executive responsibilities include generating leads, meeting sales targets, negotiating deals, and maintaining customer satisfactionMission:Specifically, the person will deal with:Conduct market research, seek out new sales opportunities through calling, visiting clients, networking and social media; Preparing and sending quotes and proposalsSet up meetings with potential clients, and participate to exhibitionsPrepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and servicesNegotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objectionsGather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teamsmanage and optimise current business accountsTravel to various locations nationally and internationally as necessaryCorrespond with suppliers and buyers and respond to inquiriesDue to the size of the team, commercial team members are also responsible for certain import-export administrative tasks related to their roleKey skills and experience requiredThe ideal candidate will have 4-6 years previous experience in sales in industrial sector, if possible in chemical sector and/or in a Japanese companyGood negotiation and influencing skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishFluency in other European languages (German?) is desirable but not necessaryWorking experience with Japanese company (in Japan or Europe) is desirable but not necessaryProficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point), maintaining CRMThe ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following attributes and competenciesActs as a team player Collaborate and support colleagues and peers across the organisation, in Europe and JapanResults oriented and flexible – Be adaptable, able to meet deadlines and to work with all types of individuals based locally or at our overseas branchesCommunication – Able to build relationships with customers and business partners, and provide the support requiredCross – culturally aware and adaptableResidence in Milano area or near the City is ideal but not necessaryType of ContractThe salary package will be commensurate with the actual experience and in any case able to satisfy even the most qualified candidates.Candidates who meet the required requirements can send their curriculum vitae, in Word or PDF format, to: salesexecutivesenior@adamiassociati.com
