Vishay Italy is currently seeking applicants for Purchasing planner – buyer. In this position, you will implement and support cost strategies for divisional business growth, reporting to Site Purchasing Manager.
Job Location
Vishay Semiconductor Italiana SpA focuses on design, development, and production of power diodes and power modules. Around 300 employees work at the Borgaro Torinese - Italy.
What You Will Be Doing
* Manage material planning and procurement activities in line with production requirements and inventory targets.
* Manage supplier relationships, including order execution, delivery performance, and issue resolution.
* Manage purchase orders, confirmations, and follow‑up to ensure continuity of supply.
* Understand and identify supply risks, demand variability, and cost optimization opportunities.
* Coordinate cross‑functionally with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams.
What You Will Bring Along
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
* 3+ years’ relevant experience in procurement or planning.
* Excellent knowledge of material planning processes, procurement principles, and supply chain fundamentals.
* Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
* Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken).
* Good attitude in dealing with issues and requests from Top Managers.
* Good motivation to master new major challenges.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and good interpersonal and communication abilities.
