Senior Project Sales Engineer – Responsibilities
Qualify incoming leads and proactively prospect new project opportunities within the assigned territory.
Plan and manage territory and account strategies to support short‐ and long‐term growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with priority execution‐phase stakeholders, including installers, panel builders, contractors, and agents.
Conduct detailed opportunity discovery, gaining a deep understanding of project scope, specifications, and decision‐making dynamics.
Lead the bid/no‐bid decision process and ensure timely communication with internal stakeholders.
Coordinate closely with Quotation Factory, Specification Engineering, and Engineering Back Office to develop compliant and competitive solutions; work in constant collaboration with the agent network, leveraging local market intelligence.
Follow pre‐specified project opportunities, using insights provided by Application Engineering.
Ensure installer RFQs are aligned with approved and favorable panel builders.
Manage all commercial aspects of quotations for specified and pre‐specified tenders, including pricing strategy and margin protection.
Secure and, where needed, convert project specifications with defined contractors, consultants, and end users.
Identify and develop cross‐selling opportunities to extend the adoption of additional Eaton products and solutions.
Steer sales opportunities toward appropriate Eaton EWS and Direct Customers.
Design and present commercially viable, specification‐compliant project solutions.
Conduct regular business and pipeline reviews, including opportunity and quote management.
Ensure accurate handling of administrative activities and CRM updates.
Drive continuous improvement through feedback, learning, and best‐practice sharing.
Represent Eaton by participating in industry events, fairs, and professional networking activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma combined with relevant job‐related training or on‐the‐job experience, or a post‐secondary degree or diploma.
Minimum 3 years of experience within the Commercial & Institutional (C&I) project environment, ideally related to electrical installations, life safety systems, or similar fields.
Solid understanding of project‐based sales dynamics and execution‐phase stakeholders.
Proven network and established relationships with major installers and contractors within the assigned geographic area.

Strategic thinker with resilience, adaptability, and effective time management.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CPQ / quoting tools, CRM / PRM systems.
Proficient in Microsoft 365, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and common digital tools.
