Job description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our growing team in the solar photovoltaic industry. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for driving sales of PV modules, developing new business opportunities, developing and implementing sales strategies and building and maintaining strong client relationships across key markets. The primary segment to handle is the roof top installation companies requiring you to be good at explaining the design of our panels and how to install them in a clear methodical manner.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales of technical products, and some experience within the solar industry, and possess strong communication, and interpersonal skills, be strongly goal-oriented, have entrepreneurial skills and interact well with all sorts of people. Furthermore, have a proven ability to achieve sales targets through independent initiative and strategic customer engagement and sense of initiative
Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the solar energy sector and primarily the rooftop segment in terms of roof top installation companies, but also real estate companies and manufacturing industries
* Develop and expand the Italian (and possibly also the Spanish and the Portuguese) market customer base for solar modules
* Break down company sales objectives into actionable plans; implement, monitor, and evaluate the own performance, achieve sales targets and increase market share independently
* Coordinate effectively with internal departments including production and technical teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and relevant policy changes; provide timely internal feedback to support strategic decisions.
* Represent Midsummer Italia at major industry exhibitions and summits; strengthen brand visibility and build relationships with potential customers
Requirements and skills:
* Bachelor’s degree or above in preferably Engineering or Economics
* Excellent understanding of technical products with a technical background from sales
* Strong understanding of the Photovoltaic market and the energy market
* Some sales experience in the photovoltaic sector and of solar panel sales or solar industry
* Self leadership – a proven ability to independently develop and manage client accounts and reach set up goals independently
* Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and cross-functional coordination skills.
* Strongly goal-oriented and sense of initiative
* Good preparing and presentation skills
* Proactiveness and entrepreneurial skill
* Interact well with all sorts of people
* Orderly and good at mathematics
* Strong understanding of international solar energy policies, market trends, product demands, and industry standards.
* Minimum B2 level of English
