Find your future with us. /ppBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Director for International Business Development – Southern Europe to join the team located in bRome, Italy. /b /ph3Position Overview /h3pThis is a leadership position, non-executive, located in bRome, Italy /b within the Boeing International Business Development team responsible for all defense sales and marketing activity within Southern Europe. This position will be critical to achieving Boeing objectives of capturing key platform and service sales opportunities within the Region. /ppThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Rome, Italy. /ph3Position Responsibilities /h3ulliLeverage resources and knowledge of Boeing products, services, processes and operations to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantage and foster business growth. /liliCreate, maintain and advance customer relationships to become a trusted business partner with multiple international customers. /liliDevelop in-depth knowledge of customer business, culture, geopolitical environment, requirements and related topics to shape emerging customer requirements. /liliInterface with customers and internal Boeing resources including Boeing Global, Boeing Global Government Operations, Boeing Global Services (BGS), Communication, and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) to keep all parties apprised of key issues and path to resolution. /liliAbility to lead and coordinate a large group of sales professionals who pursue sales and campaign activities through executing strategies and tactics to foster business growth with acceptable margins. /liliResearch, review and analyze publicly available information about competitors' products and services and leverage it to improve competitive position and to secure customer and vendor commitments on behalf of The Boeing Company. /liliAbility to develop relevant industry relationships at the appropriate level, as relevant for local collaborations in support of the BDS International Strategic Partnerships organization. /liliSupport business case analysis, develops and obtains authorization to proceed with campaigns to provide customer solutions. /liliManage internal budgets in support of international campaigns. /liliAssist in preparing proposals by developing themes and discriminators and reviewing the statement of work, cost estimates, executive summary and pricing from the customer's perspective. /liliIdentify emerging talent within Boeing and in customer and supplier contacts to attract and retain the next generation of Boeing leaders. /li /ulh3Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) /h3ulliProven experience interfacing directly with military customers and processes with a demonstrated understanding of customers' organization, requirements, planning and procurement processes /liliExperience working with international defense customers in shaping and developing requirements /liliLanguage fluency in Italian and English /liliAbility to travel internationally /lili7 + years’ experience within the defense industry or military service /liliBachelor’s degree or higher /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) /h3ulliExperience leading campaigns in European countries (specifically Italy, Greece and Spain) /liliDemonstrated leadership skills of a seasoned sales or military leader, with the ability to lead the company to wins internationally, drive orders to closure and collaborate across the business /liliLanguage fluency in Greek or Spanish desired /liliExperience working with Boeing Global organization /lili12 + years’ experience within the defense industry or military service /li /ulh3Work Authorisation /h3pThis requisition is for a locally hired position in Italy.
