Battery Recycling Expert – Technology, R&D; & Digital
As a Battery Recycling Expert, you will be part of the Technology, R&D; & Digital function, developing innovative and highly sustainable processes for recovering critical materials from valuable scraps/waste, particularly batteries, with a view to energy transition. You will interact with colleagues, other company functions, and external suppliers to achieve project objectives and propose relevant solutions within the circularity theme. You will also coordinate project activities for technological implementation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that also include staff from Eni's scientific and commercial partners.
Key activities:
Develop innovative projects on the theme of circularity, in particular battery recycling
Conduct research and experiments for the recovery of critical elements from valuable waste, particularly batteries; focus on sustainable processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to issues of interest
Analyze and interpret data obtained from laboratory and field activities
Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in recycling technology critical to the energy transition.
Required characteristics:
Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other engineering fields; a Master's degree related to battery recycling will be considered an advantage.
A minimum of two years' experience in the battery recycling sector is required; alternatively, a PhD in the topics covered by the role sought will be taken into consideration.
In-depth knowledge of chemistry applied to the recovery of critical materials from batteries
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for battery recycling processes and recovered materials for reuse.
