Our core industries include mining, oil gas, agriculture, construction, explosives, and renewables. /ppOur Mission: To make Africa work better /ppOur Values: Honesty, Customer Focus, Continual Improvement, Humility, and Safety /ppRole Overview /ppWe are seeking a high-calibre Business Development Consultant with deep familiarity and access to the executive and procurement tiers of major Italian oil and gas companies—specifically Saipem, the CCS Joint Venture, ENI, and their key subcontractors and EPCs. /ppYou will be instrumental in unlocking commercial pathways for our logistics and infrastructure business within the Mozambique LNG and broader East African energy corridor, converting high-level relationships into long-term commercial opportunities. /ppKey Responsibilities /pulliBuild and nurture high-level relationships with decision-makers at Saipem (including CCS JV – Saipem, McDermott, Chiyoda), ENI (global procurement, regional project teams), and other key Italian service providers active in Mozambique and the region. /liliPosition Alistair Group’s logistics, transport, and infrastructure capabilities as a strategic fit for ongoing and upcoming project needs. /liliIdentify and pursue direct contract opportunities or indirect roles through JV/consortium structures. /liliSupport the development and presentation of commercial proposals, tailored capability statements, and pricing strategies. /liliCollaborate closely with on-the-ground and executive teams to align business development strategy with operational capacity and timing. /li /ulpSkills Qualifications /pulli15+ years in business development, commercial strategy, or project development within the oil gas sector. /liliDeep network and credible relationships with ENI, Saipem, and/or CCSJV at head office or major project level. /liliPrior experience in or strong understanding of Mozambique LNG, Cabo Delgado, or other Sub-Saharan Africa energy projects. /liliProven track record of converting relationships into awarded contracts. /liliFluent in English and Italian. /liliHighly self-motivated, commercially astute, and capable of working independently. /li /ulpDeliverables /pulliWeekly progress reports with contact summaries, meeting outcomes, and next steps. /liliPipeline of commercial opportunities within target clients. /liliSupport in proposal and tender submissions. /liliGuidance on positioning, pricing strategy, and key differentiators for target clients. /li /ulpCompensation /pulliCompetitive monthly retainer, commensurate with experience. /liliSuccess-based incentives tied to contract wins or strategic milestones achieved. /liliTravel and expenses reimbursed as approved. /li /ulpTo Apply: /ppPlease submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and network within the Italian oil gas sector. /ppLocation: Preferably Milan-based, with regular travel to Mozambique and Southern Africa /ppEngagement: Part-time consulting contract (initial term: 6–12 months) /ppThe Company reserves the right to withdraw from the recruitment process at any time, at its sole discretion.
