Over 42,000 employees are employed by DGFF in approximately 150 countries around the world. /ppbWe’re looking for a /b /pulliOFR South Area /liliBusiness Development Manager /liliJob purpose /li /ulpImplement business development plans and processes to generate new / additional business, maximize profit and grow market share in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies /pulliKey tasks /liliExecute business development plans and processes to achieve targeted customer growth and retention rate, revenue targets and budgets /liliDeliver projects and initiatives to develop new business and maximize exposure for DHL amongst targeted prospects /liliUndertake market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential and analyze target groups /liliProspect new business development opportunities through market research, developing marketing initiatives, etc. /liliInitiate contact with targeted prospects, identify decision makers and work to understand strategic business challenges and priorities /liliIdentify prospective customer needs and matches these with DHL’s services /liliDevelop leads, conduct pre-proposal visitations, prepare difficult proposals and conduct negotiations to close /liliMaintain and build relationships with prospects and potential key accounts including prospects’ highest buying levels and coordinate the activities of prospect-focused teams /liliInitiate new business relationships with non-buying accounts that have been targeted by the company /liliPartner with local, district and regional management to coordinate customer requests and services that are being promoted /liliCoordinate sales efforts with inside sales and provide flow of data on account competitors and suppliers to product management /liliIdentify problems that may not be clear in own area of authority and modify work methods accordingly without the benefit of defined procedures /liliJob requirements /liliRequires a minimum of 3-5 years Sales in Freight Forwarding (air and ocean freight required) /liliExcellent Knowledge of Ocean freight Product /liliExperience with logistics processes, systems and solutions. /liliExcellent analytical skills and sales attitude /liliStrategic vision, Forwarding business acumen, results driven and attention to details /liliExcellent communication and negotiation skills, strong problem-solving attitude /liliCapability to recognize threats and opportunities, introducing best practices focusing on delivering continuous improvement and enhanced productivity /liliExcellent knowledge of targeted geographical area /liliWHY join our DHL team /li /ulpAt DHL, you will be part of a strong team that respects its employees, society, and environment.
