This role involves product leadership and go-to-market strategy, translating vision into actionable plans and market launches. Our product managers are software engineering professionals aspiring to become business leaders, overseeing the entire product lifecycle with strategic, technical, and communication skills.
Location: This role is remote within the EMEA region, and you are expected to reside there.
Role responsibilities include:
* Leading product development lifecycle and setting priorities
* Collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams
* Conducting market research and analyzing industry trends
* Communicating product vision and updates
* Performing usability testing and iterating on products
* Developing go-to-market strategies with marketing and sales teams
* Supporting sales efforts and participating in customer meetings
Ideal candidate profile:
* Excellent academic results at high school and university
* Understanding of Linux and open source communities
* Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, enterprise IT, cloud, or devices
* Passion for technology writing and industry landscape
* Strong work ethic and alignment with open source values
* Curiosity and continuous learning mindset
* Ownership, problem-solving, and innovation skills
* Outstanding English communication skills
* Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for periods up to two weeks
Nice-to-have skills:
* Familiarity with Linux ecosystem components like GNOME, KDE, LDAP, etc.
* Knowledge of silicon, IHV, ISV, ODM/OEMs, cloud providers
* Experience with data center, embedded, and connected devices
