The role must ensure that the sites are maintained in accordance with good engineering practice, statutory requirements, and EHS and GMP standards and approved budget. /ppbuResponsibilities /u /b /ppTeam Supervision /pulliManage, recruit, and develop a team of qualified maintenance technicians /liliProvide inspirational leadership, mentorship, and training programs to ensure continuous professional growth /li /ulpMaintenance Planning /pulliDevelop strategic plans for preventive maintenance, aiming to minimize operational disruptions and extend the lifespan of equipment /liliImplement performance monitoring systems to predict and prevent failures /li /ulpCoordination of Maintenance Activities /pulliCoordinate resources to efficiently execute corrective maintenance activities /liliPromptly address issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence of failures /li /ulpResource Management /pulliOptimize the utilization of financial, human, and material resources allocated to the department /liliNegotiate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of critical parts and materials /li /ulpCollaboration with Other Departments /pulliCollaborate closely with production, quality, and safety managers to ensure mutual understanding of operational needs and achieve common goals /li /ulpAdoption of Innovative Technologies /pulliIdentify and implement innovative technologies, such as predictive maintenance systems, to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs /li /ulpBudget Management /pulliParticipate in defining the departmental budget and ensure adherence, constantly seeking opportunities to optimize expenses without compromising maintenance quality /li /ulpWorkplace Safety /pulliOversee the implementation of workplace safety protocols and ensure that the team adheres to high safety standards during maintenance activities /li /ulpbuQualifications Experience: /u /b /ppEducation: /pulliBachelors level degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Industrial / Electrical / Chemical Engineering with a proven experience in machinery/mechanical subjects (e.g. rotating machineries, steam boilers, HVAC/R units, purified water systems, electrical systems) /li /ulpExperience: /pulliMinimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing environmental and/or engineering operations of pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing facilities (fermentation API experience is preferred) /liliConsolidated experience into an Engineering Maintenance team in Italy is preferred, experience in more than 1 facility and functional area in a Pharmaceutical company is a strong plus /liliProven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization, influence outside of direct reporting relationship and leverage network value /li /ulpCore Competencies: /pulliFluent in Italian /liliFluent in English /liliAdvanced leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills /liliKnowledge of respective reliability techniques, practices, precedents, theory and principles. /liliDemonstrated technical knowledge and expertise with drug product manufacturing and packaging equipment or utility systems and equipment (e.g. rotating machineries, boilers, HVAC/R units, purified water systems, HEPA filtration) /liliAdvanced knowledge of SAP-PM /liliDemonstrated technical capabilities and understanding of maintenance work processes and the interfaces with other functional groups /liliPrevious reliability / maintenance engineering experience preferred.
