Maintenance Manager
Barilla G. e R. Fratelli Società per Azioni is seeking a Maintenance Manager for the Novara Plant. The role reports directly to the Technical Area Manager and involves managing a team of 26 personnel.
Job Purpose
Ensure maximum reliability and efficiency of production and packaging lines through planning and managing maintenance activities—ordinary, extraordinary, corrective, and improvement—while supporting internal and external resources. Lead investment projects to enhance line performance and reliability. Ensure timely procurement of maintenance materials, aligning with plant needs, managerial guidelines, and Group standards.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations in selecting technical parts and executing maintenance interventions.
2. Manage and update documentation related to assets and mandatory plant material records, in accordance with legal and Group procedures.
3. Define appropriate maintenance policies for production and packaging lines, including intervention methods, scheduling, costs, and resource utilization, in line with operational specifications and company policies.
4. Oversee the execution of maintenance activities, coordinating personnel and external contractors to meet production schedules efficiently and cost-effectively.
5. Plan maintenance services to minimize intervention duration, costs, and downtime, ensuring continuous operation of production lines and facilities.
6. Evaluate technological evolutions and obsolescence, managing change requests from production to optimize efficiency and costs.
7. Assist in the assembly, testing, and startup of new lines and machines, implementing corrective actions for delays or variations according to Group procedures.
8. Contribute to the development of team members, ensuring competence levels align with company policies.
9. Maintain accurate maintenance data within the plant's CMMS system to support continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements and Knowledge
* Technical expertise in mechanical/electronic fields or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and pneumatic diagrams.
* Competence in using PC programs: AutoCAD, Inventor, Office suite, SAP, and Step 7 for PLC fault diagnosis.
