SPACE BUSINESS DEVELOPER – ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Space Business Developer to join our commercial team. This role is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities across the company Space domain core products and roadmap, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving strategic growth in the rapidly evolving field of space-based opto-electronic payloads and systems.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DOIdentify and research potential clients worldwide with a special focus to the European market; Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders; Coordinate withsales and technical teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals; Track, identify, and add qualified prospects to the sales pipeline; Drive the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to contract closure; Negotiate contract terms with clients and ensure alignment with company goals; Track and report on the status of proposal components and contract deliverables; Conduct ongoingmarket research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats; Gather and analyze customer and competitor data to inform strategic decisions; Develop and manage strategic partnerships to expand market reach.YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPACEBachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Opto-mechanic, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D.’s preferred); Proven experience in business development in the space- aerospace sectors (space preferred) with the capability to identify market needs, emerging applications, and customer requirements, and to align technical solutions with company operational and business capabilities and priorities; Skill in defining market entry strategies, shaping new business opportunities, and positioning offerings within competitive and evolving space markets.Ability to understand space systems, mission architectures, and enabling technologies, in particular related to electro-opto-mechanic payloads, both in terms of components and applications Deep Understanding of the Space Ecosystem wordwide, in particular broad knowledge of institutional, commercial, and defense space markets;
key stakeholders, procurement models, and funding mechanisms.Familiarity with space-related procurement processes;
ESA, EU and institutional tendering processes, contractual frameworks, including planning, risk estimations and statements of compliance considerations. Excellent capability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and to negotiate effectively across multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.; Strong analytical and organizational skill.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONContract: permanent; Location: Sarcedo, Vicenza (Italy); Working time: tempo pieno, hybrid as per the internal policy.
