We are now looking for a colleague to join our team in Milan, Italy as a Technical Sales Engineer Thermal Management.
Position Summary
The focus of this role is to provide comprehensive technical support for Thermal Management, partnering with both clients, consultants and with the Sales team. You will assist Sales with pre-sales support, helping to prepare proposals, quotes, tenders and develop strategic business relationships in the country. Additionally, you will help develop customized Thermal Management units to meet unique customer needs when standard products don't fit, ensuring every solution is perfectly tailored to the client's requirements.
What you'll do? As a key team player, your responsibilities include:
* Develop strategic business relationships while working on projects, attending events, delivering training/webinars, and proactively engaging with clients;
* Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications;
* Provide pre-sales technical support of product specifications;
* Standard product selection based on customer requirements;
* Design new Thermal Management solutions where standard products do not fit;
* Define feasibility and costs of solutions/products;
* Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers;
* Request SFAs to Engineering linked to thermal management products and clients;
* Support Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes, and tenders;
* Attend technical meetings to become a reference point for stakeholders;
* Create and review application documentation (drawings, specifications, electrical layouts, presentations);
* Provide product and application training to the Sales team in Italy;
* Support factory visits and WT activities as needed;
* Ensure all activities comply with International Trade Compliance Regulations and the Company ITC standards.
What makes you successful? Bring your passion and expertise with:
* Engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience;
* 6+ years of professional experience in Data Center industry or similar;
* Strong knowledge of Data Center High Density trends and thermal management complexities;
* Understanding of Uptime Institute Tier levels and related infrastructure design;
* Fluent English skills (written and verbal);
* Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customer/sales orientation;
* High focus on customer needs.
