Overview

Area Manager Wholesale and Retail Network Development – Central, Eastern Europe and Italy TRUSSARDI•Turbigo, Lombardy, ITALY

The RoleYou will be the business owner of Trussardi’s wholesale and franchising activities in Central, Eastern Europe and CIS Area, and will lead the launch and management of the full-price retail network in Italy. The role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and carries end-to-end responsibility for network development, performance, and scalability.

The MissionYour mission is to strengthen and expand Trussardi’s presence in Central, Eastern Europe and CIS Area through structured wholesale and franchising partnerships, and to build the Italian full-price retail network with 8–12 stores opened over the next 18–24 months. In parallel, you will design and embed commercial processes, KPIs, and analytics to ensure consistent performance management across markets and channels.


Responsibilities

* Area Management – Wholesale and Franchising (Central, Eastern Europe and CIS Area): Own the commercial performance of wholesale and franchising partners across assigned markets. Manage relationships with structured, multi-store franchise operators and key wholesale accounts. Identify and develop new franchising and wholesale opportunities aligned with brand positioning. Lead partner evaluation, negotiation, onboarding, and contractual setup. Drive sell-out performance, margins, stock efficiency, and store productivity. Conduct regular business reviews with partners and define corrective action plans when needed.
* Lead the launch of Trussardi’s full-price retail network in Italy. Define rollout strategy, including target cities, store formats, and sequencing. Own the opening of 8–12 full-price stores over an 18–24 month horizon. Work closely with Merchandising, Retail Operations, Trade Marketing, and Marketing to ensure strong openings. Ensure store-level economics, productivity, and brand execution meet defined targets.
* Commercial Excellence, Processes and Analytics: Define and own the KPI framework for wholesale, franchise, and retail channels. Structure standardized reporting and performance dashboards across markets. Translate data into concrete commercial actions for partners and internal teams. Directly manage a dedicated analytics resource reporting into the role.
* Business Planning and Cross-Functional Execution: Contribute to annual budgets, forecasts, and commercial plans by market and channel. Support partners and stores in business planning, assortments, and commercial initiatives. Work closely with Product, Merchandising, and Finance to optimize pricing, margins, and product mix. Ensure alignment between commercial strategy and in-store execution.
* Brand and Network Performance: Ensure consistent brand execution across wholesale, franchise, and retail networks. Act as the primary commercial reference point for partners and internal stakeholders. Share best practices across markets to continuously raise execution standards. Strengthen network quality as scale increases.


Requirements

* Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, or similar fields.
* Proven experience as Area Manager, Export Manager, or similar role within fashion retail.
* Strong exposure to retail and franchising business models.
* Solid understanding of retail store economics and network performance drivers.
* Strong analytical mindset with hands-on ownership of KPIs and reporting.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP, CRM, or BI tools is a plus.
* Strong negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
* Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, execution-driven approach.
* Fluent English is mandatory; additional languages are a strong plus.
* Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
