Ph3Financial Accountant – Sulbiate /h3 pPermanent position reporting to the Financial Controller. This role will act as the primary finance contact for the Italian entity, ensuring accurate financial reporting and full compliance with local statutory, tax, and payroll requirements. It is a standalone role onsite, working closely with the Group Finance team in Ireland and external local advisors. The role supports the launch and operation of our new distribution centre in Italy. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liAccount for the Italian entity’s accounting and compliance, including preparation of monthly accounts, KPIs and variance analysis /li liPrepare financial reports and reporting packages for Group HQ /li liSupport budgeting and forecasting activities /li liEnsure compliance with Italian statutory, legal, tax, and payroll requirements /li liCoordinate with external providers (tax advisors, lawyers, payroll advisors) and review their outputs /li liMaintain accounting records and oversee local regulatory requirements /li liMonitor cash flow and working capital /li liAct as local finance liaison and point of contact with Group Finance /li liSupport implementation and improvement of finance processes and ERP systems /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liDegree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics /li liMinimum 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting role /li liStrong knowledge of Italian accounting, tax, and payroll regulations /li liAbility to work independently and manage local compliance topics /li liExperience with monthly close and financial reporting /li liGood command of English (minimum B2) /li liProfessional qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – Dottore Commercialista /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience in a distribution or industrial environment /li liExperience working with external advisors /li liERP systems experience /li /ul pApplicants must have a right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction. /p pPortwest is an equal opportunity employer.
