About the role
The Commercial Excellence Manager, directly reporting to the Sales Director MHC, will play a pivotal role in leading commercial business initiatives to drive growth through improved efficiency and standardized practices, in both Medical and Consumer sectors.
Additionally, the Commercial Excellence function serves as the Project Lead for various strategic organizational processes and selling initiatives, aiming at achieving and exceeding Uriach's annual revenue, growth, and profitability targets.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement sales strategies tailored for the different channels (medical, pharmacy, wholesalers, e-commerce) ensuring alignment with regional objectives.
* Implement Sales force efficiency (segmentation, targeting, and call plan creation).
* Structure incentive systems.
* Manage product forecasts.
* Collaborate closely with sales leaders to optimize sales processes, drive efficiency, and enhance overall sales effectiveness.
* Implement performance management systems and Key Performance Indicators to supervise sales performance.
* Analyse sales data (both sell‑in and sell‑out) to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth, providing actionable insights.
* Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and collaboration on sales initiatives.
* Facilitate communication and coordination between different departments to streamline processes and achieve common goals effectively.
* Conduct comprehensive market analysis to gather insights into market trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities.
* Use market insights to advise strategic decision‑making and drive sales growth in the region.
Qualifications
* Experience of at least 5–7 years in commercial excellence, salesforce effectiveness, or business analytics roles in pharmaceutical companies with a demand generation model based on medical detailing.
* Experience in sales as a medical representative or medical area manager, preferably in a structured international company, will be considered a plus.
* Field experience in the pharmacy channel will be considered a plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or science subjects.
* In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and of the characteristics of various distribution channels.
* Analytical and quantitative mindset with a data‑driven and business‑oriented approach.
* Results‑oriented approach in a fast‑paced environment.
* Proven organisational, interpersonal and communication skills at different levels.
* Excellent knowledge of data analysis tools (PowerBI, SalesForce, Veeva) and the English language.
