Role Overview
As a Technical Sales Manager – Concrete - Europe, you will identify new business opportunities, drive product qualifications, and provide technical support to our concrete customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Business Development: Act as the technical expert for concrete applications, identify growth opportunities, and develop relationships with customer technical teams.
2. Technical & Application Support: Help customers overcome technical barriers, provide product presentations, and monitor industry regulations.
3. Customer Complaint Management: Lead investigations into complex customer complaints, collaborating across teams.
4. Quality & Continuous Improvement: Monitor product quality trends, resolve deviations, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
* Minimum 7 years in the concrete industry, preferably with raw materials or additives suppliers.
* Expertise in concrete applications, formulations, raw materials, processing, and testing techniques, including SCMs.
* Proactive, independent, with strong communication and relationship skills.
* Fluent in English; French or German required; additional European languages a plus.
* Willing to travel up to 70% across customer sites and Sibelco locations.
