Business Development Manager – Ref. JOB-1513
Summary: We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support the development of our client’s Oil & Gas activities, as well as its Energy Transition and Environment divisions. Based in Athens (Greece), you will be involved in all phases of business development, from opportunity identification to contract award, and will play a key role in expanding international activities, in close collaboration with Business Development, Operations, and Project teams.
Your Missions
Identify, assess, and develop new business opportunities in energy transition, environment, and sustainable energy sectors (alternative fuels, decarbonization, energy storage, HVDC systems, etc.).
Identify and develop new markets, regions, and clients within the Oil & Gas sector.
Contribute to the definition and deployment of the business development strategy in line with the Group’s objectives.
Actively participate in tendering processes, including opportunity qualification, bid strategy definition, and commercial negotiations.
Ensure close coordination with technical, project, and management teams during bid preparation.
Perform active monitoring of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities.
Contribute to the prioritization of solutions and offerings based on market potential, environmental impact, and commercial viability.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
Ensure an effective handover between commercial teams and project execution teams.
Contribute to the preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts related to Energy Transition and Environment activities.
Ensure compliance with internal processes, governance rules, and approval procedures.
Your Experience
15 to 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, and Energy Transition sectors.
Career path including hands-on operational experience (engineering, project management, construction, operations, etc.), followed by responsibilities in Business Development / Commercial roles.
Proven experience in business development and tender management for large-scale energy projects.
Strong understanding of technologies related to decarbonization, alternative fuels, energy storage, and power transmission systems.
Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
Solid understanding of engineering, project development, and tendering processes.
High international mobility.
Your Profile
Higher education degree in engineering (Master’s level).
A background in Chemical Engineering is an asset.
An MBA or management degree is appreciated.
Experience in EPC / EPCM projects is highly valued.
Experience in Europe, MENA, or similar regions is an advantage.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
