Business Development Manager – Energy Storage Systems (ESS)
Role Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) business in Italy. This is a hunter-style role focused on developing new customers, building strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth within the renewable energy market.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and convert business opportunities in the ESS, solar PV, and inverter sectors.
• Build relationships with EPCs, project developers, utilities, and distributors.
• Provide pre-sales technical support and align solutions with customer requirements.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with global engineering and marketing teams to support local business growth.
Candidate Profile
Requirements:
• Australian local/native professional with full working rights.
• 5+ years of sales or business development experience in Renewable Energy (ESS, Solar PV, or Inverters).
• Strong understanding of energy storage systems, power electronics, or grid-scale applications.
• Candidates with pre-sales technical support experience transitioning into BD are welcome.
• Self-driven "hunter" mindset with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Work Environment
• Remote/home-based anywhere in Italy.
• Regular domestic travel for customer visits and industry events.
• High level of autonomy with support from a global team.
