This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying new market opportunities, appointing and engaging new agents and distributors, and managing client relationships. The Export Manager will work closely with various departments — including Customer Service, Quality Control, Finance, Supply, and Production — to achieve the company's objectives.Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
Conduct regular customer visitsProvide report of trade market visit (visit report)Support the growth of our business with acquisition, prospection and/or development of new Clients, Agents and/or Distributors within the assigned regions (identify new market opportunities and potential customers in international markets)Participate of Fairs and events to engage and prospect clients and stakeholders
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international marketsBuild and maintain strong relationship with existing and potential international clientsPrepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and partnersMonitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior managementMake plans to achieve / exceed export sales target
Market Research and Strategy Development:
Conduct market research to identify potential markets and customersDevelop and implement export strategies to increase market share in existing and new marketsAnalyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threatsDevelop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with international clientsActively contribute for development of new products and solutions
Financial Management:
Prepare and manage export budgets and forecastsNegotiate payment terms and manage the collection of payments from international clientsAssess and manage risks associated with currency fluctuations, credit and market volatilityNegotiate sales contracts, pricing, and terms with international clientsMonitor and implement pricing strategies, negotiate price adjustments (increase)Preparation of statistics and reports for Management
Leadership and Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments including Production, Supply, Customer Service, Finance, etc to ensure alignment of export activities with overall business objectivesProvide training and support to the customer service team
Education / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)A minimum of 6 years of experience in international sales of decorative films and solutions for industrial applications (furniture, doors, flooring).Proven track record of achieving export sales targets and expanding market shareStrong understanding of international trade market, logistics, customs proceduresExcellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environmentProficiency in MS Office and CRM softwareFluency in English (proficiency in additional language is a plus)Willingness to travel internationally as needed
