Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Second Maitre / Sommelier located on Giglio Island.
The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the dining experience, providing exceptional customer service, and enhancing guests' experience with expert wine recommendations.
Responsibilities include supervising dining room staff, organizing wine lists, providing training to the team, and ensuring seamless coordination between the front of house and kitchen. xrdztoy
The position also requires upselling food and beverage offerings and maintaining inventory of beverages and supplies.
QualificationsStrong Communication and Customer Service skills to ensure excellent guest interaction and satisfactionExpertise in Food & Beverage services, including knowledge of fine dining and wine pairingsExperience in Training dining staff and promoting team development to uphold high service standardsSales skills to effectively upsell food and beverage options to guestsA passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentCertification in Wine Studies or Sommelier accreditation is highly desirableStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus
