We are looking for a Legal Counsel - Commercial & Digital to join our Legal & Compliance Department, playing a key role in providing legal support to the company's commercial and digital functions. The Legal Counsel will report to the Legal & Compliance Director of OBI Italy. Key Responsibilities As the Legal Department has a wide desk, the role requires you to deal with a broad range of legal matters and to interact with various stakeholders. The main focus will be on: Providing legal support to the commercial teams on multiple business initiatives, including sales, supply of goods, marketing, digital, and e‐commerce activities; Delivering day‐to‐day legal advice and supporting the implementation of international business projects; Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of documents and agreements including SPAs, website T&Cs, prize contest regulation, sponsorship agreements, contracts with agencies and content creators, other service agreements, NDAs, settlement agreements, etc; Providing strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on Marketing, Communication and Creative initiatives working under tight deadlines; Managing negotiations, customer complaints, and potential disputes involving customers and consumers; Advising in general on matters relating to commercial law, consumer law, competition law, e‐commerce and digital and IP rights; Actively supporting omnichannel transformation and digitalization projects across the business; Liaising with competent authorities as well as internal and external stakeholders when required; Promoting a culture of compliance through training initiatives, guidelines, and monitoring activities. Requirements Master's Degree in Law obtained in Italy; Qualified attorney (passed the Italian Bar Exam) with 3‐4 years post‐qualification experience ideally spent within an international company of the retail sector or international law firm advising corporate clients of the retail sector; Strong knowledge of commercial law, competition law, marketing and consumer law, digital law; Solid understanding of data protection and privacy regulations; International mindset with excellent command of English, both written and spoken; Availability for occasional national and international business travel (up to 10% of working time).
