We are looking for an enthusiastic VFX Artist to join our highly motivated team of CGI content creators at Red Raion. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director to create stunning real-time rendered visual effects that align with the creative vision and elevate the immersive experience of our content. Role and Responsibilities As a VFX Artist at Red Raion, you will be responsible for: - Designing and creating real-time visual effects that enhance storytelling and viewer engagement. - Collaborating with the production team to deliver visually compelling effects for dynamic environments and characters. - Bringing depth and vibrancy to our projects through atmospheric, weather, and environmental effects. - Implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing visual effects in Unreal Engine. - Iterating on VFX assets based on feedback from the creative and technical teams. Requirements and Qualifications - Proficiency in PBR or PBM, Unreal Material Editor, and a strong understanding of material domains and blend modes. - Expertise in Niagara, including creating custom scratch pads to meet diverse project needs. - Familiarity with blueprints and render targets, and knowledge of where and how to utilize them effectively. - Experience creating sprite sheets, vertex animation textures, vector fields, and flow maps in Houdini and/or Maya. Preferred Skills - Experience working with particle systems - Experience working with Sparse Volume Texture or VDB and Niagara data interfaces. - Strong math skills are highly valued. - Knowledge of Niagara fluid simulations and 2D grid collection data interfaces.
