CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati is an international design and innovation studio based in Turin, Italy, and New York City. We operate at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds, exploring how technology is shaping the built environment and the way we live within it. Our projects span architecture, urban planning, and product design, often blending research and practice in collaboration with leading global partners.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Speech Engagement Manager to join our Turin headquarters and serve as a key interface between Professor Ratti and the outside world. The role involves managing all aspects of Carlo Ratti's public presence — from incoming speaking invitations and institutional collaborations to event participation and strategic partnerships.
This person will ensure that Carlo's engagements align with CRA's mission and priorities, acting with discretion, diplomacy, and exceptional organizational skills.
What You'll Do
* Receive, assess, and coordinate incoming requests for public appearances, lectures, and collaborations.
* Coordinate directly with Carlo, preparing and reviewing communications, materials, and follow-ups.
* Negotiate participation terms, including budget and financial arrangements, ensuring alignment with CRA's framework.
* Manage the administrative side of engagements — maintaining records and databases (Podio), contracts, and documentation.
* Join client calls to define the structure and content of presentations before Carlo's involvement.
What We're Looking For
* 1–3 years of experience in a similar role (Public Affairs, Executive Support, Communications, or PR).
* Fluency in English and Italian (both written and spoken).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to represent Carlo Ratti and CRA in external interactions.
* Strong attention to detail and composure under pressure.
Nice to Have
* Background in Public Relations, Communications, or International Relations.
* Experience working with public figures, institutions, or creative organizations.
* Passion for architecture, innovation, and design.
