Here, you will feel valued for your contributions as we reinvent modern commerce—together.Job DescriptionAs a Business Value Engineer (Pre-Sales Engineer), you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective clients through their journey from initial interest to successful pilot execution. Acting as a strategic co-pilot alongside our Account Executive and Solution Engineers teams, you'll help shape compelling use cases, define success metrics, and demonstrate the functional value of our solutions. Your insights will directly influence customer confidence and long-term satisfaction.

Collaborate closely with Solution Engineers to ensure the success of pilot engagements, aligning technical capabilities with business needs.Engage with customers to uncover pain points, goals, and strategic priorities. Translate these into actionable use cases that showcase the value of our solution.Work with stakeholders to define measurable success criteria that guide pilot outcomes and future deployment decisions.Contribute to the preparation and response of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP), ensuring alignment with customer expectations and solution capabilities.Deliver tailored demonstrations that highlight the functional value of our platform, addressing specific customer challenges and goals.Ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to deployment by documenting use cases, success metrics, and pilot learnings for implementation teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related fieldFluent in Italian and English (The recruiter does not speak Italian)3+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales rolesProven ability to translate business challenges into technical use cases

Ideally, you have 2 to 4 years of experience as pre-sales or technical/solutions consultant, (including internships) are fluent in English, and are open to travel. You are comfortable working in technical pre-sales and explaining the value of our highly complex digitalization solutions to retail clients.Additional

Strong understanding of RFI/RFP processes and proposal developmentAnalytic skills to build and present a financial business caseExperience working with Solution Engineers or technical teams in pilot engagementsExcellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to define and track success metrics for customer engagementsFamiliarity with enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or digital transformation initiativesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with a customer-centric mindsetComfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environmentsRetail Industry knowledge is a bonus

The role includes regular travel across Italy and, at times, across Western Europe, for example to Poland. You should expect around 2 to 3 days per week in the field, either to support client demonstrations alongside a salesperson or to discuss the technical value of our solutions directly with the company's technical stakeholders.The office is based in Milan: Via Torri Bianche 1, 20871 Torri Bianche MB, Italy.Additional InformationWe feel supported.
