The role
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the City Manager is a unique opportunity to become an important member of the Italian Commercial team.
You'll build relationships with restaurant partners in your area, improving our proposition for customers and identifying ways to continue our fast growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and drawing insights from data to guide growth.
You will be based in Genoa or a nearby city.
What you'll do:
* Be the local expert for your city (or cities). This involves understanding the restaurant industry thoroughly and representing Deliveroo locally.
* Draw insights from data to enhance our customer proposition neighborhood by neighborhood.
* Manage top restaurant partners, lead negotiations, and optimize partner performance for growth.
* Collaborate with the local account manager to promote local hero brands.
* Identify and onboard new popular local restaurants, setting them up for success.
* Develop local sales strategies, focusing on closing key value gaps and areas for growth.
* Enhance our local customer offering by improving restaurant selection, operations, and strategic planning with regional teams.
* Maximize marketing opportunities by encouraging restaurant participation.
Requirements:
* 3-4 years of proven experience in account/relationship management, sales, or strategy roles.
* Results and target-oriented mindset.
* Ability to analyze data related to restaurant performance and local market insights.
* Flexibility for a mix of fieldwork (2-3 days/week) and office/home working.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills, whether face-to-face, via phone, or email.
