Architech has been bringing state-of-the-art products to the European lighting market for 10 years and has been integral to the evolution and revolution that is part of our lighting journey "the Future of Tomorrow" We are seeking an International Business Development manager with lighting experience, to work with our Milan based operation, but the suitable person does not have to be located in Milan.
Requirements and responsibilities.
The role requires the candidate to be fluent in English, with a preference for a good understanding of Italian, German, Spanish and French Primary responsibilities of the BDM will be to support our existing distribution network and cultivate new business partners.
Responsibilities include: Lighting solution sales in accordance with the proposed annual targets.
Promote lighting solutions to distributors, agents and lighting specifiers using: In person relationship building Presentation of product features and benefits and illumination problem solving.
Presentation and education of lighting standards and lighting technologies through workshops Virtual promotion through email, video conference or other electronic means
Promote and utilise in house design services Promote and assist in building specification luminaire schedules during design stage of lighting projects Identify and develop new opportunities for lighting sales.
Identify and develop new business through end user clients Create and maintain relationships with lighting distributors and agents Improve customer satisfaction by maintaining an acceptable response time to customer queries.
Provide outstanding service to all customers Follow and continually improve procedures that maintain systems accuracy regarding sales
We are looking for the best in the business A proven track record of success in the lighting industry Ability and willingness to succeed in client acquisition as well as account management Ability to collaborate with colleagues when needed while also being self-driven A track record in achieving sales targets and budgets Report on pipeline of designs, specifications, negotiations, and orders Providing support and problem-solving using lighting solutions Promote lighting solutions through physical samples and product documentation Clearly communicate customer expectations Building customer relationships
